The Finest Wargaming in San Antonio!

Located at the Corner of Tezel and New Guilbeau Roads, CENTRAL COMMAND GAMES has been serving the wargaming community of the Greater San Antonio area for over a decade.  For many years it resided inside of the now defunct Purple Cactus Comics.  For more than a year Central Command Games has had it's own shingle out just a couple of doors down in the same shopping center and has been going stronger than ever!

Central Command is the place to play Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Warhammer 40,000 (aka 40K), Flames of War, WARMACHINE, Hordes, Blood Bowl, Battle Fleet Gothic, Dungeons and Dragons, and many other wargames and RPGs.  You can even get in a game of Magic: the Gathering under Central Command's roof... the shop Cards and Crafts is inside Central Command and supports an active community of CCG players).

It has one of the largest gaming areas you'll find in Texas with table after table available for use (as well as a wide variety of terrain feature, buildings, and objective markers).

In the very back (right near the massive bitz bins) is the worktable. Here is a well lit and clean area where you can spread out, assemble and paint your models, and BS with other modeling enthusiasts as you do so.  A recent innovation: the entire work area's floor has been painted bright yellow (it used to be gray)!  If (when) you drop a bit you can easily find it on that bright yellow floor!

Some of San Antonio's finest model painters and builders can often be found at that table, working on their latest armies.  Their armies are displayed in the numerous glass cases throughout the store.

Check out Brian's purple Tyranids in the display case up front and then go back to the table and pick his brain for painting tips.  George is always willing to help a new gamer with the finer points of painting.  Reed is the guy to see if you want more info about batch painting massive numbers of orks.  They are just a few of the regulars you'll find at Central Command.

Obviously, the main reason to go to a game store is to get in a game! Central Command is chock full of gamers of all types!  Pick your poison: want to get shot to death by a bunch of Tau in a game of 40K?  Ask for Allan (he has about 3o,ooo points worth of Tau shootiness ready to roll)!  Feel like facing of against German Panzers in a game of Flames of War?   Ken is there to crush you and annex your lands.  Talk to Rachel about WARMACHINE.

Get in a learning game of Warhammer Fantasy Battles with Thomas and his Chaos Dwarves... etc., ad infinitum!  There are too many regulars to mention by name and there is almost always someone to get "stuck in" with!  Don't have an army?  No problem!  The store has many armies that you can try out!  Don't know the rules?  You are almost guaranteed to find a player who knows the ruleset you are interested in backwards and forwards.  So come on by.  Remember the motto at Central Command: Build.
